One Day More

Returning to NYC on Saturday; regular postings to resume soonish. I see you shiver with antici...

...pation.

(Yes, it's lame to be making Rocky Horror jokes in this day and age. And yet, here we are)

I don't think it's lame. Of course... that might mean that I'm lame. But let's not dwell on that, shall we?

You know that I still know a handful of people who've never seen Rocky Horror? Kids these days... *shakes head* I might have to sit them down with the 20th anniversary DVD on New Years Eve. Although we know that's just not the same as seeing it in a rundown theater that reeks of stale cigarette smoke and has the most uncomfortable seats ever... ah, memories. :)

In college, I adored a girl who finally let me take her out on a date. We went to a midnight Rocky show (I wasn't a fan really, but I thought it made me seem 'metro') and they made her suck the seeds off a pickle since she had never seen it before. Needless to say, we never went out again.

Dammit, Janet.

Rocky Horror is timeless, true, but it's kind of been ruined for me. When I lived in LA, my roommate (whom I found on Craigslist), turned out to be this pathetic shut-in with an eating disorder whose fondest memories were of the time she was "in" the group that performed in front of the screen at some midnight showing in the valley. She talked about it constantly and it really soured me on Rocky Horror.

Shame.

*Sheepishly raises hand*

I've never seen it though when I Was 13 I was asked by my friend to go with her and her friends several times. Welcome back the NYC (said from STL, of all places) I hope you had a good holiday with lots of food (and HAM!)

Did you see Pan's Labyrinth yet? I thought you were angling to view that one but I hadn't seen a post about it yet.

Ciao till the new year!

Is Pan's Labyrinth ever going to be shown here in STL, I wonder..? My hubby is dying to see it, as am I.
