I Just Walked By Tim Gunn On 6th Avenue

He was dressed immaculately in a dark, pinstriped suit. He was carrying a garment bag (because OBVIOUSLY). I think there were some assistants swarming around him. He was "making it work."
Seeing him in the wild was pretty much the most New York-y thing that's happened to me since I quit the job in the East Village where I routinely had to toss out junkies who were trying to shoot up in the porn section. It was like... Wow, I'm here now experiencing this in the center of the universe or something. Whatever, I'm not that deep. But you know what I mean. It's fun to live in a place where you're as likely to see a celebrity as not.
But yeah... Tim Gunn... pretty neat. And I don't even watch the show. I'd have probably sharted twice if I were actually a fan and not just an appreciator of a sharp-dressed man all ZZ Top style.

that's a big ass sewing needle...

i love star sightings, although here in nm
they are few and far between. i did see
common the other day... he was having an
organic oatmeal and breakfast burrito at
the same place we were eating.

last year or so, charlize theron was across the street from my house, filming
with tommy lee... that was fun.

Andrea... Totally. I'm such a big girl about celeb sightings, it's kind of sad. They make me really happy, which kind of makes me really sad. Anyway... I assume you mean Tommy Lee JONES and not Tommy Lee, the ex-Motley Crue drummer. Either would be cool (for very different reasons) but you know, for clarity's sake.

That's what I figured. You don't see a lot of Oscar winners hanging around skanky metal band cast-offs. Especially those with Hep C.

Yet another post that makes me wish I could live just one day in the life of Clinton...

Eh, being me ain't all that. It's not bad, mind you... it's just nothing to write a blog for two years about or anything.

Oh, wait...
