The Linguistic Issues Of The Modern Weave

NOTE: We were discussing the prospect of Girlfriend cutting her hair short when, without warning, we ran into a troubling issue of word-usage...

Girlfriend (1:06:18 PM): I'll keep some of my hair on hand so you can install a weave
Girlfriend (1:06:33 PM): Is that the right verb for weaves? Install?
clintonworking (1:06:44 PM): Like it's a stereo?
clintonworking (1:06:58 PM): I think it's "put in."
Girlfriend (1:06:58 PM): Don't they install it onto their head? Besides there's too much work involved to say you "put" it in.
Girlfriend (1:07:18 PM): Maybe woven in.
Girlfriend (1:07:40 PM): "Yeah Taydisiqua, I had a phat new weave woven in"
clintonworking (1:07:43 PM): Woven is probably correct. "Install" makes it sound like they're implanting a brain chip. Although... "woven" almost sounds to sophisticated for the women who get weaves. Not to make horrible, sweeping generalizations or anything...
